The Ivuukula School

changing lives through education

By Western Standards,

it might not look like much.

But it's more than what the

children of Ivuukula have.

A simple Primary school is what they need,

and it's what Subi Foundation intends to build.

School Pictured: Entebbe Parents Secondary School

Picture this:

8 rooms (Kindergarten through Grade 7)

30 chairs and desks in each room

A brand-new chalkboard

Math books

Reading books

Paper and pencils (with a pencil sharpener)

Every child receiving breakfast and lunch

A well-trained local Ugandan teacher in every room

In a safe, sturdy, carefully-constructed building

Any educator can tell you that a child's entire future is changed

simply by becoming literate.

Add in math and some financial literacy,

and you have opened up a whole new world for that child.

The children of Ivuukula, Uganda have no school.

The nearest village school is too far away for children to walk there.

The families of Ivuukula are too poor to pay for the children to board at a school.

Ivuukula needs a school.

And Subi Foundation wants to build one.
